A Poem.

A little kid who's dreams stretched high
like a tall oak tree reaching for the sky
his hopes were shot and blown to bits
by one little bullet and a goodbye wish
someone so close had taken their life
when he awoke the next day with sadness and strife
he moped around all day and cried all night
his hopes couldn't be lifted nor be brought to light
one fateful day he saw her there
with her dark brown eyes and dark black hair
he entered the class with a slight smile
it was someone he had not talked to in a while
while they sat and talked his hopes were lifted
they were brought back by this feeling so gifted
it was the feeling of love he had felt again
she was everything he ever wanted to gain
they were together and shared good times
when he was around her his happiness climbs and climbs
once he got to the top though, do you know what he saw?
the bottom again, when he took a long fall
a mistake was made that tore him apart
she loved him no more he was back at the start
the further and further she walked away
more and more he sunk to dismay
he felt empty again alone inside
he became a monster, like Jekyll and Hyde
he cared no longer for the ones around him
everything to him now was sink or swim
the world had been shifted to black and white
while he sat alone and cried every night
the world for her was also not the same
a big misunderstanding allowed her to proclaim
"what have i done..." she muttered to herself
knowing the same pain he knew himself
she sought him out but couldn't find him
he had run away and Chances to find him were slim
she cried out and rushed on his path
he was much further ahead in his broken wrath
as she searched and searched finally she found him
he was alone more, but now on a whim
she confronted him and told him why

she loved him so much she was willing to die

he told her he loved her and they were together again

to built up the loved they so wished again to obtain

i was only at 386 words so i decided to add this just to make the requirement.
